Jesus had just healed two blind men, and as they walked out, this man possessed with a devil if brought to Him. Before I get into my main point, I just want to point out that Jesus performed a lot of miracles. I mean, A LOT!
Matthew 9:32-33
As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
John 21:25
In this case, the devil that possessed this man made it where he could not speak. He could not ask for help. Jesus could not ask him if he believed Jesus could help him like he did the two blind men because he could not speak! This proves that Jesus is not limited by our lack or expression of faith.
This brief description shows the amazing compassion of our Savior.
Jesus causes the blind to see.
Jesus speaks for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Jesus has power over all things.
Jesus sets the captives free!
Even when we are not faithful, Jesus shows time and time again in the gospels where He is ready, willing, and able to help and deliver the saints of God.
We should join the multitudes and marvel at our wondrous Redeemer! We should praise Him daily for life’s blessings, and join with our fellow saints of God every time the church doors are open to worship our glorious King!
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
