Since we have been raised to newness of life by the power of Christ’s resurrection from the dead, we are now dead to the power of sin. Further, we have been called and given power to live a different lifestyle than before. Our old man loves itself and wants to please itself. We are called to put off the old man and put on the new man that seeks to love and help others.
