“Live for Others” • Romans 12:1-3 – Elder Bryce Lowrance considers the first three verses of chapter 12 in Romans, Paul’s letter to the church at Rome. He looks to what we should logically do in our service to God, beginning with the need to focus on remembering the mercies of God. He considers what it means to “present our bodies a living sacrifice” and exhorts us to consider how we can serve others. Brother Bryce draws clear distinction between sonship and discipleship, encouraging us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind” and to humble ourselves and think of the needs of others before our own. He reminds us that in doing these things we can still experience joy and learn more about what is “acceptable” as mentioned by the Apostle Paul.
