Clueless

Clueless

The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?

John 7:32-36

The most important knowledge is the knowledge of Who God is and what His will is.

Those who do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God may seem intelligent in their speech and in many aspects of their lives, but they are clueless about what is most important. Further, those that blindly follow these types of teachers are clueless as well!

We do not need to spend a lot of time working against these false teachers and their disciples. We just need to make sure that they are not influencing us, our church, or our family.

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matthew 15:14

The Pharisees hated not being in charge of every situation, especially when it came to teaching the people about religion. When they hear and see what is going on in a public forum, they send their deputies to go apprehend Jesus so they can silence Him. However, it was impossible for these “officers” to take Jesus captive because it was not the time appointed by the Father. No power of man can overcome the will and power of God in a situation like that!

Even the simple reasoning that Jesus came from heaven and would soon return to heaven confused these men. They try to argue but in the end, they just repeat what Jesus said and stand there stupefied!

Jesus’ statements about coming from the Father and going back to the Father showed that He was claiming to be the Messiah and the Son of God. Their inability to argue against His wisdom showed that He was sent from God. And now, the fact that they could not even arrest Him without His permission was clear evidence that He was not a mere mortal man!

When we consider education and ntellect, let us not forget the most important wisdom of all — the wisdom of God.

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: butfools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:2-7

Without God, we are clueless!
