For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

1st Corinthians 15:22

There is an old saying that goes: “The only things that are sure are death and taxes.”

Neither one of these things is a pleasant subject to consider but the saying is certainly true, particularly the first surety – death.

The entire human race was represented in Adam. This is clearly seen because all men die. Unless the Lord intervenes, as in the cases of Enoch and Elijah, or He returns, all men shall die.

This is a very sobering thought, but the Apostle Paul does not leave us without hope.

Just as all mankind was represented in Adam, all those given to Christ in election (Ephesians 1) are represented by Christ.

Therefore… (EVEN SO)

As sure as it is that the entire human race will die because they are in Adam, it is just as sure that those in Christ shall be made alive and live with Him forever
