In the worship of the Lord, you will find broken lives just like yours. But you will also find a different way of looking at them and yourself. You are not broken anymore, Jesus heals the broken hearted. God has made the outsiders kings and priests!
They have brought gold for the pure King of glory. They have brought frankincense as offering of prayer to the Son of God. And they have brought myrrh foretelling of His death for the sins of God’s people.
I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. – Numbers 24:17
Luke turns our focus from the law to Christ. The law points to the righteousness of God, so it is important. However, Jesus is the fulfillment of that law for us.
The lesson we should glean from these examples is that nothing should come before our worship to God, and nothing should be used as an excuse for not attending to regular worship of the King of kings!
Salvation is complete in Jesus Christ. Therefore, when Jesus was born into the world, God’s salvation of His people was as good as done! No matter what man would try to do, God was saving His people.
Even through the current pandemic, find a way to be involved in church. It will make it so much easier when things go back to normal. Making church a high priority will be blessing in the long run, and now.
