Jesus plainly teaches them the fact that John the Baptist is indeed the fulfillment of the prophecy of the “return” of Elijah.
No man, or organization of men, has the authority to ignore scripture when speaking in God’s name.
Perhaps the church we need and the preacher we need is not in the biggest building with the fanciest decorations and best band.
