God has a very specific number of elect that will be with Him. But that number is huge!
Jude teaches us to earnestly contend for that form of doctrine that gives God the glory and was delivered in its purity during the time of Christ and the Apostles.
We may be called to anonymous service to our Redeemer. Not many may know our name. Or if they do, they know very little about us, but ... Jesus knows us!
Jesus tells James that he would follow Him through sufferings. As recorded in Acts 12, James became the first martyr among the Apostles. He wanted to be where Jesus was and his desire was fulfilled.
Andrew was content and happy just being with the Lord in His service. Perhaps we should seek the same in our own lives.
