Let us not point the finger at some other city or nation. Let us not exalt ourselves and say that is talking about some other church or individual. Our belief is reflected in our actions (James 2:18). If we are not transforming our lives in thankfulness to the grace of God bestowed upon us, we are no better than these ungrateful and wretched cities.
Jesus plainly says that there are some who truly do love God and want to hear from Him. They seek out truth. And even though they are sometimes errant in their ways, they are not interested in just playing church. They truly want to glorify God in their worship.
When we doubt, we need to flee to the Rock of Ages! When overwhelmed with doubts and fear, Great God, do Thou my spirit cheer; Let not mine eyes with tears be fed, But to the Rock of Ages led!

Jesus died for all your sins including the sin of doubt and unbelief. Ask your Heavenly Father for help with your doubts. He stands ready to bless you all good things!
The gospel is how we come to discover and understand what God has done for us. It sets us free to love God out of pure thankfulness and not fear of condemnation!
Gospel faith is dependent upon the presence of the "measure of faith" given in the new birth. But the faith given in the new birth is independent of our expressions of gospel faith.
