God’s Preacher
Perhaps the church we need and the preacher we need is not in the biggest building with the fanciest decorations and best band.

Perhaps we have too low a view of what is happening when a man is blessed of God to preach and teach exactly what we need when we need it.

Doubt
When we doubt, we need to flee to the Rock of Ages! When overwhelmed with doubts and fear, Great God, do Thou my spirit cheer; Let not mine eyes with tears be fed, But to the Rock of Ages led!

Resurrecting Power
I challenge those that claim to have the power or means to cause the new birth to raise themselves from the dead three days later! Oh wait, they can’t hear me!

Jesus Came (To All Those He Resurrected)
We cannot bring ourselves to Christ, nor would we have the desire to come to Him. And, even if our loved ones desired that we be raised to spiritual life, they do not have the power to bring us to Christ.

Weep Not (As Others)
Luke records that the first act of compassion Jesus did was to simply speak the words, “Weep not.” Jesus had yet to do anything that would relieve the anguish of the woman’s situation but His words are recorded as words of compassion. How can this be?

Outer Darkness

The truth of the matter is – faith is a gift from God. It is given to every child of God in the new birth whereby they are able to trust God and His word.

God’s Will
Even if all men had the desire to be saved (which we know that fallen, depraved man does not), he does not have the ability to move toward Christ. Salvation begins and ends in the will and power of God.
