Our tender heart may want to help them but sometimes direct confrontation is obviously not what is needed.
When we see how merciful God has been to us, we will be in the right frame of mind to extend grace and mercy to others who need it.
Our heavenly Father cares for us. When we are focused on serving Him by serving others, we see that He cares for us and provides for us from the storehouse of His mercy.
When we put God first and foremost in our lives, we find peace. Which is exactly the opposite of... BUSY.
A life that is devoted to serving others is a life with true meaning and is full of light!
When we walk like Jesus – loving others and not think of ourselves – then we "lay up" treasure in heaven. What is precious to us cannot be stolen away and will never wear old or deteriorate. And even after this earth passes away, love with continue for all eternity.
We certainly should not be announcing to others that we are fasting so they feel sorry for us! And, if fasting is to humble us, then why would we use it to promote ourselves as better than others?
God’s people can and should be private prayer all day long. The metaphor of a closet shows us that no one can tell when we are praying!
By loving, we can be complete (perfect) disciples.
