The opinions of Jesus were quite divided during His earthly ministry. Not much has changed today!
Perhaps we have too low a view of what is happening when a man is blessed of God to preach and teach exactly what we need when we need it.
Our will is insignificant, and further, our power is puny!
Even if all men had the desire to be saved (which we know that fallen, depraved man does not), he does not have the ability to move toward Christ. Salvation begins and ends in the will and power of God.
The miracles of Jesus were not for His fame or glory. They were an undeniable testimony that He was the true Messiah!
To say that the miracles of the Bible are just fictional stories and not necessary is to to deny the most needed miracle of all, SALVATION!
Jesus will ultimately heal us not only from illness but from its cause — sin.
We need to remember that Jesus has power over all things. We need to avoid situations and actions that would encourage demonic activity.
God is all powerful and mighty to save! Our level of faith may fluctuate at times but God's power does not.
By performing this miracle from a great distance, Jesus shows His power over creation. This ability only makes sense because He is the God of all creation!
